MultiDyne introduces "the LiGHTBoX - II"

LOCUST VALLEY, N.Y., March 15, 2011 – MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems, a premier provider of fiber optic video and audio transports and routing solutions for broadcast and pro A/V applications, expands its field fiber acquisition product line with the introduction of the LiGHTBoX-II, a weather-tight portable fiber transport system equipped to handle a wide range of communication needs.

The industry-proven MultiDyne LiGHTBoX has provided news crews and free-lance cameramen with the ability to capture events up close, while being linked back to the truck over tactical fiber. MultiDyne’ new “the LiGHTBoX II”, now offers important enhancements to the original design. The standard configuration provides two-way HD video, two-way composite video for confidence feeds, 2-CH PL Intercom for industry-standard beltpacs, GPI & tally, and six channels of program audio. Any stand-alone MultiDyne unit can be mounted in the LiGHTBoX-II to create a custom configured solution. This next-generation field unit incorporates a sophisticated power management system that monitors battery life (up to two batteries) and automatically switches to back-up AC power when it detects battery end-of-life. A remote display and alarm system mounted in the truck alerts the video operator as to what is happening out at the LiGHTBoX II.

The LiGHTBoX II can be linked to the truck or studio with standard ST optical connectors, Neutrik Opticalcon, SMPTE or Tyco cables.  The LiGHTBoX II can be mated with another LiGHTBoX II, a LiGHTCuBE or a standard 19”, 1RU rack mount panel.

The LiGHTBoX II along with the LiGHTCuBE and many other new MultiDyne products will debut at NAB 2011, Central Hall, Booth C6537.
